The Venue
SKOONI’s story began in 1985, built as a private villa within Jumeirah, one of Dubai’s oldest residential communities by the sea. Originally serving as a private residence, the house was known for its warmth, simplicity, and the Skooni tree standing proudly at its entrance - a symbol of grounding and connection.
Decades later, the villa has been reimagined as SKOONI - a contemporary cultural house devoted to art, design, and human experience. Here, beneath the shade of the same tree, gatherings unfold - performances, conversations, and creative rituals - all guided by a shared sense of peace and belonging.
The LOCATION
Nat and Michael Morcos discovered SKOONI in the heart of Dubai’s Jumeirah; a place that reflects the very beginnings of the city. Here, Dubai’s story is felt most vividly: where the quiet traces of tradition meet the striking silhouettes of the modern skyline.
